A Late Night Snack
As I illustrated in an earlier post, the new birds in the flock decided to roost on the fence rather than in the coop. This was amusing. Unfortunately, it was also inviting. See, someone decided the fence was a drive through and the birds were fourth meal. On her way to do chicken chores, the Web Mistress discovered a headless chicken and two piles of feathers. One pile was clearly from the decapitated bird, the other was from a second bird in the flock. The second bird was easily identified by the distinct lack of feathers on its tail. Closer examination revealed a one inch gash on her backside. Fortunately for her, a cut on the rear is not nearly as fatal as losing your head is.
